My name is Evvie Lionheart (they/them), and I specialize in shedding light on the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities and offering pathways to empowerment and liberation. As a dedicated advocate and visionary leader, I am honored to share my expertise and insights on the intersection of people of color, authoritarianism, and healing.
Throughout my journey, I have navigated the complexities of systemic oppression, trauma, and conflict, and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with others. As a trailblazer and advocate for justice, I am committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized people within organizing and movement spaces and fostering greater understanding and support for those who have been historically overlooked.
Through my proposed research on cult survivors of color, I aim to highlight the importance of centering the lived experiences of marginalized survivors in the trauma recovery process. By shining a light on the unique challenges faced by people of color in cult recovery and recruitment, we can work towards creating more liberated and inclusive spaces for healing.
As an advocate for technological and media justice, I am pursuing research fellowships to enhance my ability to leverage technology and data for empowerment and liberation. Through these research fellowships, I hope to explore innovative solutions to address systemic oppression and promote greater equity and justice for communities pushed to the margins of society.
